veterans airlift command The Veterans Airlift Command (VAC) arranges air transportation for medical and other compassionate purposes to wounded warriors, veterans, and their families through a national network of volunteer aircraft owners and pilots.

Opportunity

The Veterans Airlift Command (VAC) was created to provide veterans and their families free air transportation to medical facilities. The VAC had to quickly capture the attention—and the hearts—of pilots and aircraft owners so they would donate their time and aircraft to the cause. As a self-funded non-profit, the VAC needed cost-effective marketing and efficient operations.

Solution

Cadria created an integrated marketing campaign—including a web site, search engine optimization, brochures and a conference booth—with hard-hitting imagery and emotional messaging that pulled no punches.

Behind the scene, Cadria built a web-based mission control system that manages travel requests and pilot and aircraft applications. VAC staff can easily review and approve applications, create missions, look up available pilots/aircraft and assign them to missions.

Outcome

The full site launched September 25, 2006, with virtually no active marketing. Within two weeks, there were 300 unique site visits from across the country, 10% of which came through organic search listings.
